Wanted some authentic Latvian food, rather than just another fine dining place. Sought out this cellar near Castle Square and had a fine meal with great beer at reasonable cost. I usually can eat a whole pork knuckle but was more sensible and shared with my wife. We began with smoked sprats which were very fresh and tasty, together with grey peas with onions and bacon.
The knuckle has crispy skin, lots of flavorful fat and tender meat that falls off the bone. At least equal to anything I've had in Munich!
