Stayed at the resort for 2 nights during my trip to Kenya in June 2019, while at the Masai Mara.
The resort has an excellent location inside the Masai Mara Reserve, with a leopard habitat just a 10-minute drive from the resort. Also it's one of the few lodges in the Masai Mara to not have any barriers, wires or fences separating the resort from the wild; get lucky and you can spot ostriches or wildebeest from your room, or impalas at night.
And the reason why I did spot impalas a couple of feet away from me at 11PM in the night, is because they gave us a room which had a few small holes in the walls which allowed little insects and lizards to enter, which led us to change our rooms in the night (since housekeeping isn't available after 10PM). Since the resort is functioning since 1962 and quite expansive, problems like those are bound to happen. The water in the bathrooms isn't hot per sé but just moderately warm, and the water from the shower just dropped and wasn't running well. Wifi isn't always available - there were connectivity issues during our stay (the outer rooms are out of range) and it went out with the power, which is only until midnight.
The food at the restaurant was good and there was variety for everyone. However, they still charge you for water and won't let you bring any of your own to their tables.
However, the service throughout the lodge at any point was good, the staff were cooperative and helped us as much as they could. But the place still isn't worth what it charges you for a stay.
