“Good value for money! Great Kitchen”
Reviewed 4 April 2013

We very nicely suprsised by the standard of the kitchen and offer of the wines in hotel restaurant. The staff of hotel is friendly and always trying to help. Some people very complaining about the heating but it was nicely warm in our room. We will come again next year!!

Omnia hotel is very nice mountain design hotel with really cleverly appointed rooms. Rooms on the top floor have two floor, downstair there is a living room, upstair a bedroom with small working place. This rooms are good place for children, but the staircase are rather steep. There is also good restaurant with reasonable price in the hotel. There is also very nice indoor swimmning pool and sauna. The hotel is located just few meters from lower station of cablecar, very comfortable for skiers. I have been there for three times altogether. And only problem we had one year when there was heavy snowfall, and in the (mountain!) hotel did not have enough equipment for borrowing to get our car from mound of snow. They were also not able to arrange help for us to pull our car out of snowdrift. So my recommendation: in winter time rather take snow chains and shovel with you.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor have two storeys. Nice, but staircase is rather steep.

New hotel, with superb location and also some special advantage for ski lift. We had standard double bed room, with glass bathroom. Nice room, can be little bit chalenging in case of 1 week skiing stay. Breakfast was only standard, I expected little bit more for the price. This leads me to the price, yes hotel is expensive. But you have access to ski lift and parking for free. Its hard to say if its worthy or not. Staff on reception ok, in restaurant very nice. Swimming pool was very nice and special from stainless steel (but safe dont worry). But on the other hand for such hotel it was really small. During summer hotel was more empty then full and it was anyway useless due to several teenage kids.

Stayed as family with 3 kids.
Positives:
- large room / large bathroom - we had Junior Suite
- usage of swimming pool (with a bit cold water), sauna and tennis
- ski pass included
- near-by parking
- location at the cable-car stop

Negatives:
- no wi-fi in the rooms, only in restaurant and bar
- few lights in the room not working - not a major problem, but should not happen in 4* hotel
- regular beds comfortable, but additional ones on the sofa only for young kids not adults
- breakfast selection acceptable but nothing special
- had the half-board - dinners are really poor, not worth of 250CZK - selection of 3 meals more of a level of school canteen - most of the times chicken or pasta and even these not much tasty (did not try a'la carte offer)
- impossible to book a stay via credit card

The staff is polite, but not professional of 4* hotel.
Overall: Acceptable 4* star hotel, where selection and quality of food need huge improvement.

We have spent Christmas in this hotel with the family. It has beautiful location and brilliant design (but not always functional) if you prefer modern architecture.
However the largest problem is the service - staff is friendly, but not experienced and professional - far away from 4* hotel standard
Also kitchen is nothing special, some meals were excellent but very average in general.
I would consider coming back, but they still have a long way to go... But if you like to be in trendy hotel near ski slope, having nice room, nice pool and willing to pay extra money I do recommend it.

We took our two teenage children to Omnia for a few days between Christmas and New Year - they, and we, loved it.

The skiing is pretty good, although it was a little busy, and the surrounding area is very pretty.

The hotel itself is very stylish and the staff were friendly.

The restaurant was particularly good and the bar was also nice, although visitors need to be aware that the Czech Republic hasn't yet adopted the smoking ban so the bar (the only smoking area in the hotel) could get a little smokey.

We loved the indoor tennis court and pool and used them both excessively!

Altogether, a very enjoyable trip.

The Omnia Hotel, Janske Lazne, Czech Republic.
This was our first visit outside Prague in the Czech Republic, and we were very pleased with what we found; a modern, light, bright, friendly hotel. We were greeted by very warm and welcoming staff with a lovely glass of wine. After filling in the necessary paperwork we were shown to our room. This was via a spacious, plush hallway.
This was a very bright and airy room with a wonderful size shower room, decorated in a lively orange theme throughout the room, and hotel. There was an ample size shower area with a huge shower head, and easy level washbasin.
The room was split level with the ground level having a balcony overlooking woodland to the rear. A comfortable sofa bed option was opposite a small plasma TV, with an easy open plan staircase leading to the upper sleeping level. There were two single beds arranged so that they may move to become one double bed. There was a dressing table with plasma TV for viewing, with 2 English channels.
The staff in the restaurants all spoke a little English and with us speaking no Czech at all, this was very comforting. All meals from breakfast through to supper were superbly presented and suitably tasty. With two small children with their usual picky food requirements, the hotel never failed to please with alternative options.
There was also the pool facility, with a Jacuzzi and splash zone area. It was a good size and the children went in it every day. Usually after a walk in the surrounding woodland areas, which were lush and green and very beautiful. I also had the benefit of a lovely massage performed by Peter, the hotel’s physiotherapist. A perfect end to a strenuous days walking or hiking.
I would certainly recommend the Omnia Hotel, and am already planning a return visit.
