We arrived in the afternoon after visiting the Capital Vilnius and asked if we could borrow the bikes on offer not knowing the location we were directed to the bridges along the lake that take you to the town of Trakai.

This is a lovely town and a great place to sit by the lake having a lovely Lithuania beer.

The room was great the breakfast in the morning was fantastic.

The owner is so friendly and a great place to stay and would love to go back to stay!

We planned to stay only 1 night in Villa Sofia, but we end up staying 2 as the place is really amaizing. It is a good value for money. Sofia, the owner is an exceptional lady who is very concerned to please guests. Despite she does not speak english, she made a remarkable effort to understand us and to make us understand her and it went really well. We feel really at home there.
Rooms are spacious and very bright.
The only "negative" point was the smelly water coming from the tap... I guess there was some kind of problem with the pipes.
We walked around because the weather was exceptionally good for this time of the year and Trakai is a really nice place. It is worth a visit. We rented a boat and even fished! A perfect place to recharche batteries.

Room Tip: The location, Zemaites 13, is in the "main" road, so you do not need to turn - even with GPS we got lost and end up in Zemaites street where all the numbers less the 13th were located. Also the double superior room is the best of the house (despite the others are ok too), as it has a big balcony.
