A very nice place in Skagen consisting of 2 main buildings in a large green garden. We decided quite late to stay in Badepension Marienlund and called to make a reservation. The Service was excellent and our arrival was perfectly arranged even though we arrived after dark. The rooms very nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. Breakfast buffet was served in the main building in a cozy atmosphere. It is a place I would really recommend for visitors to Skagen.

We travel as a couple extensively. Some accommodation is adequate, some more than meets expectations, but occasionally in your journeys you come across a jewel. This small hotel will stay in our thoughts for a long time. Comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated and expertly managed, it is so welcoming. The breakfast was entirely ample. We have had better, but have always paid more for the privilege. Danish holidays are prohibitively expensive for North American travellers, but this is one place we hope to visit again.

# Marienlund was possible the most comfortable place I remember staying since Summer of 1998, when we stayed at a very comfortable B&B in Sherbourne, Dorset, UK!
# Comfortable, clean and cosy room,
# Quiet location,
# Excellent breakfast (for Denmark) in a very nice light room with a wooden ceiling
# Very good value for money, given that this is Skagen, a posh place in expensive Denmark
# We called to say that we would arrive after 6 pm (there was so much to see on the way...) and the keys were prepared for us together with a welcome message and a map of town
# It was very relaxing as there were no kids
# Great hospitality
# Although it was very cold outside during the night, it was not necessary to heat the room, it felt warm and comfortabe
# There were only white transparent curtains, so that we woke up with the morning sun, had a pretty early breakfast which allowed us to beat the crowd at Grenen, the place where the two oceans come together at the tip of Skagen
# Thanks to Mrs Ruth Jakobsen for her hospitality!

This was a beautiful place to stay, and we'd happily go back any time. The room was stylish and clean. Breakfast was delicious, and I loved the pretty blue and white china. I also loved the idea of a library/sitting room for guests, though we didn't have a chance to use it this time.

Nothing was too much trouble for the B&B staff. They even offered to bring coffee and biscuits to our room in the afternoon, which was a very nice touch. I thoroughly recommend this B&B; it was a real find.

Room Tip: Our annexe room was very restful, with lovely views over the gardens.

The best little hotel in Skagen! We enjoy our stay in August very much! Large room in the anex, fantastic breakfast in the main building, gardens with shaddow and nice flowers and trees. Private parking for our car in the garden. We rent good bicycles there. 5 minutes walking from the senter and the hotel`s neighbourhood is not noisy. Perfect for a couple 50++. We will return!!

I was there for a night on a saturday.
The B&B is staffed until 6pm, but we were given the keys of the main door of the property, where there is a cozy sitting room where the guest can stay.

The price isn't cheap for a B&B, but Denmark isn't overall a cheap country.

The bedroom was very clean, nicely decorated with very comfortable beds.
The bathroom is quite basic; in many scandinavian countries I noticed that the shower is just on the floor of the bathroom itself, there is no shower "base" and a shower curtain only separates the water flow from the rest of the floor, which eventually will become full of water.
Apart from this the room was fine.

The breakfast was excellent.

In a quiet neighborhood walking distance to the harbour, main part of town, non-bathing beach and museum/sights. Service was great, both husband/wife that run the place are very helpful, breakfast was great. Sitting room really quaint, the grounds also vast. Pension does offer parking, bike rentals, TVs in room as well as Wifi and private bath. My room was a single which very small with a twin size bed, mini desk and chair - a tight fit. The bathroom does get all wet as most baths in Denmark do not separate the showering space. Rooms have hair dryers. All in all, I would return!

Room Tip: I was in the annex, maybe the main house might offer for character of the building, which does have...
