“Beautiful beach”

Lovely escape on a short ferry ride, has sun beds hire if you wish, a place to buy drinks and some snacks. Less busy than Barrill.

“Gorgeous beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013

You can reach this beach from Tavira or Santa Luzia by boat. There is a public beach with a huge expanse of sand if you have your own umbrella, chairs etc, or if not a luxurious private beach for about 20€ per person per day. Slope into the water is very gradual and water very clean. A warm breeze allows for bodyboarding etc for which equipment can be hired from the beach.

Excellent beach, witha little cabana that serves excellent caipirinha. The view is stunning, the beach flat, lots of wind for kite surfing... Coming back for sure...

“Excellent beach - not crowded in peak season!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013

Have been in this wonderful beach 2nd week of August, it really deserves a visit! Went there from nice Santa Luzia village from where the boats set off to cross to the island (2 euros round trip p.person). My husband and I left the beach and took the boat back to Santa Luzia to have lunch there and have returned after a good fish lunch. Beach still not crowded, as a portuguese I wouldn't say it was peak season!
