I wish I could rate this hotel more than 5 stars. Everything about our stay here was perfect - from our ridiculously large room to the super friendly staff who made us feel like family.

Our room was so large that aside from the more-than-ample walking space around the bed, there was also a small couch, a desk and a walk-through wardrobe to the bathroom, which was also a very decent size. In addition to this, we had a large balcony with table and chairs and a spectacular view of the Alps and one of Lauterbrunnen's waterfalls.

The hotel's restaurant was also fabulous, and we ate there every night of our stay. If you eat outside you have a great view of the waterfall and mountains. The food was always delicious, and we can highly recommend the garlic soup - even if you are not usually a fan of soup. Again, the staff were always so friendly and welcoming and can provide tonnes of advice on the best activities in the area.

There is also an indoor swimming pool at the back of the hotel; you kind of don't notice it's there, you have to go past reception and up two flights of stairs to find it. There was no one there when we used it, and one entire wall is just windows so you can see out to the mountains and waterfalls.

Location is great, right in the centre of Lauterbrunnen, where you will not find more spectacular views. We were devastated to be leaving, and would go back in a heartbeat! If we ever return to Lauterbrunnen, we are definitely staying here again.

Room Tip: The rooms with balconies have great views out to the mountains and waterfalls. There is also free WiFi in the gorgeous sitting room, but if your room is close by you can access the WiFi from there.

This is a nice hotel on par with other European hotels on this level. My room was bright, spotless, and comfortable. It also had a breathtaking mountain view from the windows and balcony. I'm a light sleeper, particularly when I'm in a new place, but I slept very well here. The hotel manager/owner was pleasant and helpful. I wish the hotel had wifi and the swimming pool was a tad cold, but those are minor complaints. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter week stay at the Hotel Jungfrau and would certainly go back. We had considered a few hotels, but the Jungfrau looked very good value and it definitely did not disappoint. The hotel is charming - basic, clean and older than anyone was able to tell us!. Bridgette and her staff were extremely friendly, giving the place a real 'family' feel. Buffet breakfast included cereal, boiled eggs, meat, cheese and freshly baked bread. Evening meals ran to 4 courses with attentive table service. Every morning we were given a packed lunch to take away - very welcome if you are on a tight budget. Our room on the 2nd floor gave us a terrific view of the valley and of the Staubach Falls (see photo) which were just a short walk away. The hotel offers a great location for a skiing holiday. It is located in the middle of Lauterbrunnen, a small town on the valley floor that give you easy access to skiing on either side of the valley - Wengen or Murren. We found the hotel, and Lauterbrunnen generally, to be fairly quite, giving the impression that this is a jewel that many skiers who prefer to stay 'in resort' have not caught on to. If you are not a skier, a location on the valley floor gives you access to lovely walks, including the incredible Trummelbach Falls. All in all we had an excellent week's holiday and would recommend the Hotel Jungfrau to customers looking for good value, a restful break and a terrific location.

Room Tip: We were in Room 204, which is a corner room with balcony that gives you an unimpeded view of the Staubach Waterfall.

We stayed here for 3 nights then requested another 2! We had a corner room on the 2nd floor and couldn't beleive the view from the two windows/ balcony. No photos could ever portray the absolute beauty of the surroundings.Even from the bathroom you can see a waterfall. I said "pinch me I must be dreaming". Our room was very spacious, bright and comfortable. Breakfast was basic(no cooked meal) but cerrtainly adequate. Maryanne our waitress was so friendly and helpful as was the lovely quietly spoken owner Bridgette. The location is magnificent for any tours. The only downside was we only discovered the large indoor pool as we were leaving. Thank you for a fabulous and very memorable stay.

We fond this hotel very uncomfortable. The room rates wer not cheap and I felt the the lady who was either the owner or the manager was rude.
We were the only english people in the hotel during our stay and if it wasen for the lovely staff we would have found it difficult to continue with our stay.During dinner we initially set with 2 young men from holland however once they left we were placed in the front door access area beind wrought iron railings seperta from the dinning area. It was as if we were placed in the cage. Most of the other dinners found it quite amusing. We requeted a move and after some diliberation it was agreed that we would be moved the following evening. The hotel had no atmosphere and the rooms were so basic. We have travelled from ione end of the alps to the other plus other places all over the worls and i must admit this was one of the worst places I have ever stayed due to the way we were treat. We are not hard to please people and generally go with the flow however this was un acceptable tratment.

The pool was so cold that you could not use it

Food was good as well as having verynice room and dinning room staff

Its a shame as this hotel in in one of the most beautilful places surrounded by breath taking senery

Room Tip: The rooms are basic for the price however the rooms on the front have fantastic views
