Description: The hotel Oberland's restaurant is located in the centre of the village just an easy 5 minute walk from the train station. We are open daily from 11.30 am to the evening. Our menu has everything from soups, snacks and salads, pizzas, pasta, meat and fish dishes and of course traditional Swiss dishes of fondues and röstis. Our extensive desert menu has something for everyone from a small ice cream to our special chocolate cake. Relax in our garden with a cooling drink in summer or in our restaurant with a hot chocolate in winter. Free parking is available and a bus stop a few meters away.

“Good food and ambience, reasonable price”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

We four ate outside under the awning on the porch, and it was a delightful escape from the rain. We had everything from traditional Swiss dishes to curry, and everybody was happy. Portions were generous. The waitress was efficient but not too friendly. However, Mark, the owner, more than made up for it! This is our second year to have lunch at the Oberland. We'll be back!

“Great food in a central location”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Very authentic dishes served in a café like atmosphere -- we chose to dine on the porch overlooking the main street of town and enjoyed our dinner very much.

“Great desserts!”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

If you aren't very hungry, skip the meal and go straight for dessert! We'll worth the decision! Ice Cream or Gelato, whatever you pick will satisfy that sweet tooth!

“Minuscule portions but good service”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

Went there due to the reviews on Trip Advisor. Quick and correct service and got a good table outside. Waitress was with is quickly and quickly understood we were one English speaker and a French speaker. She spoke to us in both languages which was nice. Ordered the sausage rosti and a fondu. They charge for table water so we ordered other drinks thinking we'd get a bottle of tap water but only got two small glasses! The type of glasses you give to kids at school after PE at 4 o'clock.
Then the bread appeared. Two very thin slices in a big basket. We wondered if it had been taken from a previous table. Seemed a bit cheap.
After that the main dish and the sausage rosti was nice although the rosti itself had been under the hotplate for a while and had a rubbery texture. The other rostis I saw seemed different so maybe I went with the wrong choice.
The other half's fondu cheese was nice but the accompaniments were laughable. Half a tomato one chopped mushroom a clove of garlic and a salad leaf. Oh. Almost forgot. 4 NEW potatoes.
In the end we didn't order dessert or coffee fearing the size of the portions.
To sum it up. Convinient location. Friendly waiting staff. Serious problems with portions and price.

“Very nice food and welcome”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

All six of us had empty plates at the end of our meal on both occasions that we ate there, which says something. Very nice rosti, fondue and pizzas and very warm and welcoming staff who provided blankets and heating for when we had to sit outside on a cool evening. Advice: book a table! Great location in the centre of the village.
