Description: This restaurant is located next to the cable car station and across from the train station, but you must walk up a short hill to the Hotel Silberhorn to reach it. The restaurant was without a doubt the best one we ate in while in Lauterbrunnen although all of the restaurants and even the internet cafe had excellent food. The decor was more upscale than the other hotel restaurants and seemed more updated, also. We wouldn't have known about the Silberhorn restaurant if our bicycle-tour guide hadn't told us about it when we asked her which was her favorite restaurant in Lauterbrunnen.

Rostis, burgers, salads - all very good. A little more up market than neighbouring restaurants and a lovely view from the conservatory. The hotel is in a side road just off the main street at the station end of town.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had dinner here on our first night.
Its quality definitely exceed and went beyond our expectation. It was unexpectedly good that we had our dinner here again on our last night.
We had a vegetable cream soup then each of us ordered our own main courses. Portions are huge, including salad and fruits on the side, as well as chips/baked potatoes/fried potatoes. Learned from our first meal, we only ordered 3 mains to share on the 2nd visit but we still couldn't finish everything. So be very careful while ordering if you do not have a big appetite. Also, the lamb and beef are very tender and full of flavour! Definitely high quality!
Service was great. We were allocated to the glass house on our 2nd visit which I personally preferred more, however, remember to state this if you want to sit in the glass house while making your reservation since we weren't allow to sit there on our 1st visit.
Do not miss this place if you're in Lauterbrunnen!!

If it's a salad you crave, as I often do, this is the place. Mixed salad with kernels (or seeds...toasted and yummy) had a variety of veggies and the lettuce tasted like it was just picked that hour (7.50 chf a meal in itself with a little soup or rosti...).

Like the previous poster, we ate for convenience on a rainy day but did return. They had a regular menu but also a menu of the day and asparagus was big...the soup amazing. I noted that it is in the Michelin guide and the food really was good. Great local beer as well. Service was kind...but they were a bit overwhelmed. They also have a daily dinner half-board for guests for 30chf, which seems like a bargain if you like the day's choice.

We were staying at the hotel, and ate our first meal here for the convenience---then returned two more times for the food quality. The seasonal asparagus menu was terrific. Soups, salads, main dishes & deserts were all beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the asparagus cream soup, asparagus & prosciutto salad and the Zurich style veal rosti. Our service was very attentive, even when the restaurant was busy.

There was quite a good variety of items to choose from on the menu . I had pork steak served with various sauces, fruit and tasty chips.Very well presented and very filling. A salad came with it, served first. My son couldn't finish his cordon bleu after helping me out with my salad. He said his meat was also very tasty.
The hotel could make a lot more money if the staff had checked if we needed any more drinks, dessert, coffee etc. We were seated in the conservatory, very nice with a view of the mountains (except it was dark!) but i felt as if we had been forgotten. We were quite late for dinner, around 8.30pm. Our waitress didn't smile once:-( She was on breakfast duty the next day and i noticed she never smiled at anyone..
There was a good ambiance in the restaurant and the tables were prettily decorated.
I would go back again.
