“Serene and scenic walk across the valley”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Lauterbrunnen valley is absolutely beautiful in any weather. With the sunlight, we looked as far as the snow capped mountain tops, greenery at the top of the valley walls and withering trees (still in shades of red and yellow) all around. On chilly nights, the valley is dark but the feeling of being surrounded by nature is amazing. We took a morning stroll across the valley and saw many cows and sheeps and dogs as well. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended :)

“Phenomenal Walk Among the pastures and waterfalls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

This is a wonderful two hour walk from Stetchelberg to Lauterbrunnen with a public bus option if you need it. The greenery, the lush yards, vacation homes and windflowers with a roaring glacial river running through it would satisfy most photographers, but add the many waterfalls and sheep and cows and you will be in heaven ... Great on an overcast day when you don't want to risk the Jungfraujoch.

“Stunning Beauty and it is all free”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

We viewed the Lauterbrunnen Valley waterfalls on our way to visit Trummelbach Falls and they were amazing. The river that the waterfalls feed is a beauty too, and we've never quite seen water of that particular color. The icy water, heavy oxygenation, and sediment free stony bottom, makes for a very unique look.

I'd recommend you go to Trummelbach Falls too, but the scenery of the Lauterbrunnen Falls is well worth the effort.

Beautiful falls that can be viewed just by walking down the main street. Just a 10 minute walk from the hotel

“Absolutely Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2013

Beautiful and easy walk with epic views. If the weather is great, this is one of the best hikes you can do! You should probably bring a light jacket even if the weather is nice because the mountain air blows right through the valley. If you get tired, a bus runs back and forth that you can pick up on either end of the trail (small fee).
