“Old town”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

Located in the centre of the old town of Brielle, on the main street. There is good off street parking to the rear of the hotel. Staff really helpful. Towels changed everyday. Breakfast buffet was varied but croissants on only 1 morning. Evening meals very generous with plenty of choice.

Lots to see and do in and around Brielle

Really enjoyed our stay and would like to see Brielle at Christmas time

Brielle is quite a small, Tourist orientated town and is central to several good coarse fishing venues. The Atlas Hotel is actually a pub with rooms mainly frequented by contractors working at Europoort. The rooms are tatty at best but clean, food served is generally good. breakfast is not full english but continental. The evening meals are freshly cooked and there is always at least one special on the menu. The bait fridge works okay and as anglers that is better than most other hotels in Brielle.I have been using this hotel for more than ten years and it is spot on for anglers.

Room Tip: The rooms are on three floors so ask for lower rooms if you are less inclined to steepish stairs.

Brielle is quite a small, charming town. The Atlas Hotel is basically a pub with rooms mainly frequented by contractors working at Europoorts petrochemical industry. The rooms are tatty at best but clean, food served is generally acceptable & sometimes good. breakfast is acceptable. The staff (mainly women) are very helpful & friendly. On a saturday night they run a disco until 3 or 4 in the morning...I know because i was staying there...this caused me problems because I was working the next day. Parking is free & at the rear of the hotel, internet access by T-Mobile 15 Euro for 3 hours. At a cost of 85Euro per night this is not a cheap hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel

Very enjoyable stay, the staff was excellent as my wife is disabled they went that extra mile to make our stay fantastic even to the point that the receptionist gave us the loan of her & the family bikes so me & the children could go around the town while my wife had a rest. We will be certianly be going there again

Brielle is a charming, historic walled-town and the Atlas Hotel is on the quaint main street. At one time is was a fine hotel, but has not been updated in many years. It is now part of a three-hotel chain and it seems the new owners are interested in neither quality nor service. Staff was unresponsive to requests and price was high for quality received. Breakfast buffet was in an elegant wood-paneled room, but the selection and quality meager--hot dogs rather than sausage, packaged sandwich bread rather than bakery goods, no fresh fruit, cheese was packaged "singles" and eggs were in short supply.

Room needed updating and totally lacked charm. Although we went to breakfast during the first hour of the buffet, it was very picked-over. The employees were not interested in customer satisfaction.
