“Very Fremantle, but a bit too precious”

Ginger Morris
Ranked #17 of 31 Shopping in Fremantle

I've visited this shop a couple of times. It has some quality items, but displayed in a very enclosed space, a couple of small rooms in an old house. The items are quite pricey and there is a sense of having to creep around to look at things, almost like intruding in someone's home (fire lit in the grate). Couldn't shake off the feeling that it was all a bit precious - just one of this, and one of that. There was a loud conversation going on when I went there, the owners clearly using the shop as a social hub, a Fremantle hub. I'd come down from Perth and despite the hominess of the place, felt out of place. Probably wouldn't go there again.

We visited Ginger Morris last weekend whilst in Fremantle and were amazed at the amount of fantastic treasures to be had in this cool store. Rooms of antiques, art, fabrics, jewels and loads more. Best you have a look too!
