An Italian Day
Great venue and lovely welcome to start the day
Direct access to cooking techniques and information with great demos and food.
Enjoyed a lovely group atmosphere with a chance to try making some pasta and ciabatta (if so inclined- you do not have to)
Absolutely fine dining to follow with excellent wines, bubbly and port as well during the day too
I look forward to returning

Thank you so much to Lou, Ant and Kaye

“A birthday to remember”
Reviewed 17 February 2014 via mobile

A "milestone" birthday for the trouble-n-strife saw nine of us enjoying a private dining experience at Akaroa Cooking School. Lou presented us with a magnificent 4 course meal with matching wines. Food to die for, well matched wines and relaxed yet attentive service all made for a wonderful evening and vows to find an excuse to return.

“Lovely day with foodies”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

My teenage daughter and I, neither particularly skilled cooks, spent a day with Lou and Ant doing their summer food class at their brilliant waterfront location. Both are knowledgeable, hospitable and love what they do. The cooking was not at all scary - useful tips and ideas for great food that you can make yourself, with a nice emphasis on local, seasonal produce.
A great day, casual and fun, and we certainly didn't need dinner that night! Highly recommended.

We hope to come back again some time & enjoy another class regards Donna & Glenn

“French cooking at its best”
Reviewed 27 April 2013 via mobile

Was at the cook school this week for their French cooking class. Lou and Ant were very hospitable and really know how to make people feel welcome. I did the class by myself and was worried about bing the only individual person there, however Ant assured me that they would take good care of me - and indeed he and Lou did.

Not only was the atmosphere great but the food that Lou taught us to cook was so delicious - you really have to try it. I 100% recommend doing a class
