Once again we're just boat people from the Sea Princess. Akaroa was a charming little town in NZ (South Island) Despite being hit by torrid weather the night before it was in pretty good shape. There were a few boats and yachts damaged and few of the businesses were closed. I found this little gem on our walk through the town. I walked in off the street and took a picture of a beautiful Salon. When we started looking for a place to eat, we were at the end of the main street and we checked the Hotel out. Like I said earlier a lot of restaurants were closed due to the bad weather. That's how we came back to the Meniscus Wine Lounge. We sat outside at the back in a beautiful setting. Ordered 2 glasses of Reisling and 2 platters made up of local produce. It was fantastic. After lunch the lady showed us the halfway house for these beautiful butterflies. She fed them and let them go. It was a real interesting lunch. Highly recomended.
