“Great place to watch sports, share stories, laugh”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

Didn't have a meal here but watched the league with a great friendly bunch of locals, the owner had a few good stories to tell, lots of laughs, nice cold ale, very comfortable place to unwind and watch sport. A good local pub it that's what your'e looking for.

“Great local pub”
Reviewed 5 June 2013

the flying haggis is a great place to catch up with the locals from Picton - we enjoyed the haggis and its unusual decor.

“Don't know about the haggis but the other meals were good”
Reviewed 20 May 2013

We visited the restaurant pub and had a great meal and a very reasonable price. In fact it was so good that we returned the following night. Service was good and meals a good size. A little noisy at times when the locals have a few drinks at the bar, but a good atmosphere.

“Laid-Back”
Reviewed 24 April 2013

Called in here for a thirst-quencher and to savour the atmosphere but it was not very 'Scottish'. A few pictures of views from the old country and some Scottish silver items for sale in a glass cabinet. Friendly barman and some Scottish background music that soon got changed for old-school pop - would have preferred the Celtic sounds! Felt the decor needed to reflect the theme more than it did.

“Great bar, great music”

Stopped for a drink after dinner and stayed for a few - great little place with friendly staff and a really talented musician singing and playing on the guitar.
