Six of us stayed here for two nights prior to walking the Queen Charlotte track and enjoyed the stay. It is a basic but good value for money Motel. We had a two bedroomed apartment and a studio apartment. Both were clean and well kept. The owners were great. They even let us leave our car there free of charge while we walked the track. We used the barbecue one night. It hasn't got water views ... but it is within walking distance of the beautiful Picton waterfront. And we weren't paying for water views! Recommended.

Situated a short walk from the centre of town and opposite a supermarket.Good , clean room and very quiet. Ideal to stopover after crossing the Cook Strait, or indeed before departing for the North Island.

The hotel room was comfortable and clean with some cooking facilities. Supermarket right across the road is convenient and 10 min walk to foreshore and boating activities.
Husband owner lovely and understands service tho found his wife a little abrupt and unfriendly.
Lovely toiletries available also.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful. Lots of movies (free) to choose from. Everything worked well. Grocery store across the street, lots of shops and places to eat within a very short walk.

Specifically rang to arrange earlier arrival time. Room not ready, receptionist exremely rude - not listening to our concerns . Not a great way to start a long anticipated family christmas holiday. Paying above average for dingy very small room and rude service bad start to holiday.

We arrived 11pm and as we had phoned ahead we knew what room number our room was. Didn't take long to find it on arrival and we had plenty of space to park our car and trailer too which was a bonus when arriving late at night. The heater was on so we had a warm room on arrival and the lights on made it easy to find the room. It is these little things that make a difference. We had a room with a disability shower and the water pressure wasn't great but overall the facilities, cleanliness etc of the unit was very good. We left Picton on the 8am ferry so it was a very short stay. Would stay there again.

Used this hotel for one night after travelling on ferry to South Island. For some reason we were allocated a room for the disabled but we're not complaining - no stairs to climb with suitcases, car parking very close to room and a large, wet room type shower. A very comfortable bed and a more than adequate continental breakfast at a reasonable extra cost. Free internet access, although this may not be the case in high season when more guests would be looking to log on. Proprietors were very helpful. Close walking distance to supermarket, pubs and restaurants local attractions and of course the Interislander Ferry. An ideal stopover to and from South Island.
