View43 & Citylights
Certificate of Excellence

A group of six family members stayed for two nights in March for my daughter's wedding which was at another venue. It was originally recommended to us by another Waiheke accommodation owner, and the recommendation was just perfect.

We had the use of both houses that are joined by a double, carpeted garage. The front house, View43 which sleeps 4, had lovely water views whilst Citylights, which sleeps 2, looked towards Auckland City.

The house was well furnished, beautiful bed linen and even came with a complimentary bottle of wine waiting in the fridge.

A 8-10 minute walk to the local village, 15 minutes to the beach.

Dawn was most helpful with our arrangements and we would definitely recommend it for a weekend or even a week away for total relaxation.

I stayed at View 43 for three nights with my mother who is in her eighties. The place was immaculate; lovely bed linen, a well stocked larder, complete kitchen and cooking utensils, lovely wine glasses, books and magazines and so on. The view was beautiful and made it easy to stay inside when we had had enough wine tasting and vineyard lunches!!! A five minute walk into the small shopping and cafe area and some lovely longer walks right on the door step. Couldn't fault it. (Internet access for my laptop would have only added to the pleasure but not by much)

Visited Waiheke Island for a wedding for 4 days in February and having had a few hectic days in Hong Kong beforehand, the relaxed pace of the island and peace and quiet of City Lights were perfect. Like a little home away from home with genuinely charming reconditioned retro furniture, City Lights is a mere 10-minute walk from Oneroa, the main town on the island which has a number of fine eateries and a great organic food store, and the beach of course. Would thoroughly recommend a few days on Waiheke and a very satisfying and relatively inexpensive stay at City Lights.

View43/City Lights is one of the best places we have ever stayed. It was comfortable, modern, and elegant. Beautifully decorated and stylish with all the amenities one could want. The view is spectacular with only a few minutes walk to the shops and the beach. It had two areas so we could have privacy if we wished. I would recommend this fabulous property to anyone wanting top class accommodation in a private setting. Better than a hotel. It is a very exclusive private home.

Citylights is a great hideaway with an amazing vista over the bay and to the lights of auckland in the distance. The accommodation is modern and well equipped with any incidentals you may require being supplied (ie matches for candles etc).

It is conveniently located in the middle of Oneroa and near the ferry terminal.

Please note we stayed in City Lights, which is the property to the rear of the road with views towards Auckland.
What more can one say. Lovely accomadation which we stayed in for a few days to escape our jetlag from UK flight. Clearly a lot of time has been spent to make the best of light in this accomadation. The furniture is in perfect condition and there is lots of space inside this accomadation. Lovely outside area and excellent host who provided all info we needed. Within 3 min walking distance to lovely shopping area and cafes for breakfast, and a glorious beach is just five minutes away. There is also a helpful i-sight tourist info shop with ever helpful man behind the desk just three mins away. One warning if going to Waiheke is don't rent a sports car like we did! Half the island is gravel path so perfect car is a four wheeled.
To sum up this accomadation will provide all you need, very modern, romantic, light and well hosted, and at exceptional value.
