Stayed there as part of a conference. Under staffed, dis organised, no maintainence. Shower facilities disappointing either no hot water or no water at all. No cleaning service. Very very average. Really needs a maintenance team, house keeping team and a full complement of staff. Seems to be run on a show string budget or they have no money to spend. Felt sorry for the 2 girls trying to do their best but with their hands tied. The owners should sort their investment out.

Hi Shane,

Thank you for your review.
Your review is concerning, but very helpful.
If you could email us direct with your room number so that we may check the water system in your room. You may have been staying in a room Owned and Managed by another company that we use for overflow accommodation for our conference guests.
We hope to hear from you soon.

We had a conference here - everything sounded great until we got there. The menu's sounded great but did not come even close to expectation - service was good when you could find someone. The conference room was a great size but nothing worked and wires were coming out of the wall, things were missing on the first day. Breakfast's were a joke for the price - packet cereal, no juice, instant tea/coffee from sachets. It is a real shame as it is a great venue.
We sent a letter to the resort explaining how thing went and to voice our disappointment only to get a letter back saying tough. Hence now we are writing a review here.

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for the review.
We have looked at our conference and breakfast menus to see how we can improve.

Your ideas regarding the coffee and tea selection was most helpful, although we have always offered espresso coffee for all guests; We have improved the coffee and tea selection for our conference groups. I am concerned that "nothing" was working in the conference room as this is brand new equipment, we have had this looked over and could not find a problem.

Once again thank you for sharing your concerns feedback is always important to us.

When you dial reception, no one answers. No juice and only instant coffee with their continental breakfast- really? We had to wash our feet thoroughly after walking on the tiled floor of our unit- showers in dire need of a proper clean too. Would not recommend this place to our worst enemy!
$10 for jacuzzi and $3 per towel so best to bring your kiddy pool!

Stayed here on a girls weekend away - we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was ok - whole resort needs an update, which I think they were doing - the bar and restaurant area was closed for 1night but opened for breakfast on our last day. The continental breakfast included was average. The property was on a hill which helped give great views but also meant there were lots of steps. Not helpful when carrying heavy luggage to your room! It was ok but nothing flash!

$189 per night, as per website was promised a restaurant, bar and continental breakfast, was not stated restaurant and bar was closed, would of not booked here knowing that as it I a fair way away from shops. Continental breakfast was bread wrapped in glad wrap with a pod of jam and two yoghurts. Room was ok at first viewing, but has huge cob webs, stereo was broken, bathroom in need of a thorough clean. Any hotel at the least was suppose to deliver 3 basics. A hot shower, a comfortable bed and a clean environment. The only this delivered was a hot shower.... The bed was rock hard and the pillows... Woke the first night with a stiff back and headache. Asked reception and their response was they were fully booked and have no spare beds or pillows to supply. The second night I saw that the couch was a pull out bed so we decided to sleep on that which was a lot softer.... I didn't pay $190 a night to sleep on a pull out couch. This place really needs to review what they are offering versus what they are charging. Would not book again.

Like the curates egg this resort is good in parts. We arrived on the public bus, No2 from the ferry and were put off ay the gate. There is a slight incline initially and then on turning the corner to follow the Reception signs the road rises steeply, very steeply, into the clouds. It is a pretty exhausting climb with baggage! Reception is in a temporary area due to redevelopment and difficult to find behind builders vans etc.
On finding it the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. She directed us to our accommodation, in the furthest downhill unit from reception!!
The unit was reasonably clean but with pots of cobwebs both inside and around the sitting area outside, underneath the bed had not seen the light of day for a while! However the plus side was this unit was reasonably close to the bus stop. (Buses run on 'Island Time' governed very mush by ferry arrivals.)
Breakfast was delivered in the afternoon for the following day, two slices of bread wrapped in glad wrap, two yoghurts, two small pkts of cereal . individual jam s and butter, 1 of each per person and a small milk. Not going to ruin the diet!!!
Apart from sleeping did not use the facilities at all, being somewhat past the first flush of youth and the pool being at the top of the resort we tended to stay where we were!
Suggest the resort identifies steep gradients on web site to alert older travellers not in a vehicle!

Stayed here for 1 night. I had rung the day before and asked for an early check in time as we had a wedding on the island that day. When we arrived no one was at reception, we waited for around 10-20 mins until we spotted someone and whistled loudly for their attention. Not a good first impression! The staff member showed us to our room that was quite a way from the reception area, in fact right near the sewerage pits! There was a sign not far from our room saying something like, don't go past this point - effluent area. The room itself was comfortable and the amenities in the room were OK. However the shower drain stunk! If we had known this resort had no shop or was close to any shops we would not have booked here. It is like being in the middle of suburbia. Beware of many steps and steep drive. This booking was made last year and so wasn't a last minute reservation.
