What a joy to be served by a passionate and knowledgeable owner. Love the environment and the food was outstanding. Went away with much more wine in hand than we intended!!

Best Salmon I've ever had !!! Beautiful outlook for lunch, even on a cloudy day. Service & meals absolutely spot on, although maybe slightly expensive for what you get......some would say you are paying for he view?

We were lucky enough to have dinner at Te Whau on Saturday night. The service we received was excellent and the meals beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. We would love to return in the summer time and have lunch as the views during the day would be spectacular. A great dining experience

My wife took me here and unbeknownst to us my daughter had already rung ahead and spoken to the owner to shout us special deserts with desert wines. The restaurant staff were very accommodating the food superb and the wine typical of top New Zealand reds from Waiheke. The best feature however without a doubt is the views of the sunset from our table. Cannot be beaten.

Disappointed, expected better of this award winner after we returned after a few years absence from NZ. Have eaten in all their Waiheke competition this summer and we were underwhelmed by this restaurant. Food was good not fantastic, just good, but overpriced. If you are going to charge $45 for mains plus sides for lunch - you need to attempt to secure or train professional staff. Waiter no knowledge of wines, incorrect understanding of ingredients in dishes leading to disappointment. Poor attn to detail (no cutlery replaced after entrées or desert cutlery on table, slow clearing ). Rest owner?/manager? - condescending. Yes we were off a boat and dressed casually (expensively casual :-)) - but if you are bored with what you are doing, maybe its time to do something else. Sorry better experiences elsewhere. PS And please do something about the open doors to the toilets on arrival, all you need is a return hinge on the doors. Awful on arrival to a restaurant.
