The Courtyard is just a couple of blocks away from the shops and cafes and close to a bus stop, so it is a great choice if you are just looking for a place to recharge after exploring the beautiful Waiheke Island. Jilly is a wonderful host. Prior to my arrival, she replied to my emails promptly. She was helpful in terms of giving suggestions of activities to do while on the island, and not intrusive at all considering the accommodation is located behind her house. I stayed in Apartment 2, the smaller room, which only has the basic amenities, but that's really all I needed for a one-night stay.

I stayed in apartment 2 in November 2013 for 3 nights and loved it here. The apartment is situated at the back of a residential property and is within walking distance to the shops. The apartment itself while on the small side is fine for one person - or two - for a few days. It was clean, pretty and had all the mod cons needed, including a very comfortable bed, small fridge, microwave etc. The setting is lovely with a private deck set in beautiful gardens. The owner is warm and friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed at The Courtyard yesterday evening and absolutely loved it!
So peaceful, presentable and comfortable. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Perfect for a 1-2 night romantic get away, everything you needed in a pleasant setting. Couldn't of had a better stay! Great communication prior to arriving - efficient. A+ accommodation, A+ setting and A++ host. Very pleased with The Courtyard and we strongly recommend to all.

We stayed here for one night in October and it was just right. It's really difficult to find places that allow 1 night only -- most have a 2 night minimum so this is a real find.

We stayed in Apartment #2 which is the smaller of the two. It's definitely small: it's literally a bedroom with a bathroom. There's no sitting area or anything, except the lovely little outdoor patio. The room consists of a king bed, a small table and a mini fridge.

This isn't the sort of place you'd want to spend a week in, since there are no cooking facilities or wardrobes, but for 1 or 2 nights it's absolutely fine. If you were staying longer I'd recommend the other apartment -- it was much bigger. We were only visiting from Auckland so it was just what we needed.

It was clean, private, well-maintained and the owner Jillian is fabulous. We originally asked for an early check-in, which she kindly accommodated, but then we changed our minds, which was also fine with her. There's was never any hint that we were an inconvenience. I'd also emailed her a few times before the trip and she responded to my emails within 24 hours -- really great service.

It's perfectly located, too. Moa Road is within walking distance to two beaches, Dragonfired pizza, as well as all of the main shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: #2 is quite small (fine for 1-2 nights). Next time we'll probably "spurge" and get #1.

Smaller studio (of 2): We came to the island to attend a luncheon & stayed overnight. Jilly was very friendly & kindly sent us an SMS to let us know once our room was available. This allowed us an early check-in to drop off our bags, iron our shirts dry (since it was raining heavily) & head off to lunch. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the room nicely furnished. Tea & coffee making facilities are included, & there is a small fridge. The location is an easy walk into Oneroa, and close to a bus stop to/from the Matiatia ferry. There are no sea views but nor are they expected at this price. Instead, the outlook is Jilly's lovely garden. This is a very quiet location. As with all properties on the island, the water supply comes from rain water collected from the roof, so the water pressure is low when compared with city pressure, but still OK. We would definitely stay again.

I spent a very relaxing week at The Courtyard on Waiheke. My room was spacious and provided the best bed i've possibly ever slept in. I was impressed with the cleanliness, decor and the ease of use of the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Jilly proved to be a most warm and friendly host who strikes the perfect balance in responding to requests for information, washing facilities etc yet manages to provide an environment that allows one to rest and relax without intrusion.Waiheke is a lovely holiday location and The Courtyard is in a very good spot to link with transport if you wish to have a break from driving. A splendid week.

We stayed at the courtyard for a few days getaway and had a great time. The courtyard is so easy to get to with bus stops essentially at the doorstep. Walking to town or the beach was easy strolls (although don't forget your sunblock!!). Jilly was a fantastic host with lots of advice on things to do and where to eat and drink (Which we did a lot of). The apartment was so lovely and sunny and private, it is really well set up and clean and tidy with a nice stack of magazines for when you just want to relax in your private courtyard.
By the end of our 3 days we felt like we were leaving home so were pleased to be coming back a week later for a wedding on Waiheke where again we had a great stay. We will definitely be back!!
