“Beautiful location”

Nestled in a little side street close to all the attractions of Trinidad. Jesus and his family are perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome. The guest rooms are on the first floor with outside patio ....very comfortable with air conditioning and even mosquito nets to windows so that you can enjoy a nice breeze without risking being bitten!
Meals can be taken on the roof terrace, where you can watch the sun set over Trinidad. Jesus is a wonderful chef and his lobster dinner is just exquisite!! The fridge is also stocked with beers etc at reasonable price for guests convenience.
What can I say....just perfect!! Thank you Jesus and family.

We stayed arrived at Jesus's casa on New Year's Eve and we couldn't think of a better place to spend the first few days of the New Year.

Jesus is an extremely warm person; he and his family truly make their guests feel at home.
Not only is Jesus a wonderful host, he is a fabulous cook. We seldom went out to eat, as the restaurants in town could not top his food.

One of the best things about Jesus's casa is his rooftop terrace, which has a gorgeous view. We enjoyed eating our meals on the terrace or simply going up to sit and relax . We felt very comfortable at Jesus', and there is something special about his casa that brings travelers together. We spent many wonderful nights on top of his terrace, sharing stories with others over Cristal and rum while listening to the music that fills the streets of Trinidad.

The inside of this colonial casa is also very beautiful with a tree growing through it and a feeling of warmth that generates throughout. We had a room on the second level with air conditioning and a private bathroom (I believe all the rooms in the casa have a private bathroom.) There was a fridge downstairs for guests to use. As for the location, it couldn't be better. It was just a short walk to the center of down where we heard great live music at such places like the Casa de la Trova.

Based on our experience, I think this should be the number one casa in Trinidad. We were lucky to have found it through our guide Jorge. He was a fantastic help with helping us book rooms in wonderful casas throughout Cuba on very short notice during high season. Should you need help with finding casas, I recommend contacting Jorge at jorgeguide2004@gmail.com. Many casas do not have internet service and Jorge, who is based in Cuba, can easily help you out.

My sister and I stayed here for two nights and the family could not have been more warm and welcoming! The casa was lovely and clean with a great roof terrace for watching the sun set over Trinidad. We ate a delicious dinner in the casa one night. Definitely recommended!

I stayed in Jesus's casa with two other friends in November 2013 for 3 nights. Our stay at Jesus's casa was one of the highlights of our Cuban trip and we will definitely go back!
The rooms were clean and well maintained, the bathroom was cleaned daily and the outside areas were beautiful! The casa has two terraces, perfect for relaxing with a cigar and a coffee! The casa is just a 3-5 minute walk to the coach station and very centrally located, which made it easy for us to come back for short breaks during the day.
The food is absolutely delicious and cooked with care and love. Jesus varies his side dishes menu daily so it was always in eager anticipation that we would wait for dinner!
Most importantly, however, the people at the casa made our stay incredibly special. Jesus is such a nice, friendly man and it's obvious he thoroughly enjoys taking care of his guests and his casa. He is always smiling and always busy fixing things here and there.
Myriam was also wonderful all along. She was so friendly, sweet and caring right from the start, and we were all so genuinely sad to leave them so soon.
Jesus and his team make this casa the #1 casa in Trinidad. They take so much pride in everything they do, and they are always so genuinely happy and friendly that you can't help but fall in love with this place and with the team. I feel I have now a Cuban family, which I hope I'll go back to in the near future.

We stayed for two nights in this casa and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and kindness of the owners. Jesús didn't speak much English, but we managed just fine. He seemed to anticipate our needs and made us feel right at home. We arrived mid-afternoon, so he took us around the corner and arranged for us to purchase pizzas for 1CUC. The food was excellent and abundant...we couldn't eat everything we were served at any meal. We loved the panoramic view from the upper balcony...we could see the mountains, the Valle de Los Ingenios, the Tower and roof-tops of the city. It was our favorite place to relax and have a beer and enjoy the shade the the Mango tree which grew up through the center of the house. The house was very old, and the habitation area, probably an addition to the courtyard, was quite charming, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We left late in the afternoon and were allowed to use our room till then. Jesús arranged for a man with a wheelbarrow to take our luggage to the bus station and accompanied us so we would get to the Viazul wicket and not be harrassed by the taxi drivers at the door. My only regret was that I didn't think to take a photo of 3 Canadains and 1 Cuban following the wheelbarrow down the cobblestone street! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this casa to anyone.

Jesus's place is a big casa with 3 (I think) rooms that they rent out. It feels like a hotel-hostel-casa, as you are living in a family's house but have your own private room on the top floor, with access to 2 terraces that offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the town, as well as relaxing times in the sun. Our room was exactly the size we needed, with an extra bed for a 3 guest \ child, had there been one.
Everything was clean and hot water was not a problem at all. Breakfast was nice too!

The casa is located ideally, just a few blocks from anything you would like to see in the historical part of Trinidad, which is beautiful, and still it was very quiet and peaceful at night.

Jesus, his wife and the ladies that work at the casa were all very nice and tried to help with whatever we needed and were very warm and welcoming. It was a pleasure to stay with them!

Jesus' and his family are wonderful and caring people. We had a group of 4 (all adults) The rooms are plenty big the bathrooms clean and plenty of hot water. I felt like I was sleeping up in the trees. Mango tree grows right up through the house and they have plenty of terraces to wander through. Close to the center of town. We were there during easter and what a great experience. Miss them.
