“Homely & Welcoming”

This is a little gem of a place. From an unassuming front, you are lead onto a cool and quiet courtyard - which is also is the main area for your meals - idyllic. The best part is Osmary & Alberto - charming hosts who really excel at looking after you. You get a drink straight away and chance to sit and admire the surroundings. They have about 7 rooms - all well equipped with comfortable beds, ensuite and air-con. I think we probably had the weakest room (more to do with our agent squeezing the price? We don't know) - it was the orange room at the front - lovely but very noisy - so ask for another one if you are a light sleeper. The breakfasts are great - a tray of fresh fruit (pineapple, guava, papaya, banana . . ) plus a whole pot of Cuban coffee (tea available) . . then you can order cooked (omelette's best), cake, bread, big cup of yoghourt . . . really healthy. We also ate there every night (3 nights) as the first was my birthday! Osmary baked me a wonderful cake (see pix) - so generous and very tasty.
The evening meals are probably excellent value when compared to outside restaurants. For only 10 cucs you get many courses - an amuse bouche (we had breadcrumbed fish eggs one night), a soup (one night was a meat and black bean soup - fantastic), then comes the main dish - choice of chicken/pork/fish- plain or special, also lobster (+2 cucs). After this is a small dessert - sweetened yam or sweetened coconut.
They also serve any drinks at any time - very accommodating indeed.
If you're out on a trip, Osmary will make up a packed lunch too.
The courtyard is an oasis - where they grow their own lemons and of course, mint for your mojitos. Thanks for a great 3 days holidays - the best "hotel" of our 2 week stay!

ps recommend the Parque Cubano for a short trip out - a bit pricey at 9 cucs each but a nice shady forest walk to a lake and a waterfall - chance to swim!

Room Tip: Very central - easy walking to the town centre. Choose a quieter room at the back. Check out the m...

We spent four nights in Alberto and Osmary's lovely casa.
The room decor is a be a bit chintzy - lot's of lime and purple - but comfortable all the same.

But the real treat here is the friendly welcome from all the family. Nothing was too much trouble - including parking the hire car and making a delicious packed lunch for our hike.

That and a breakfast from heaven - fresh fruit and tasty omelette - all in a beautiful, tree-lined garden.

And just a short stroll from the delights of Trinidad

My boyfriend, sister and I spent the Christmas holidays of 2011 on Cuba, and we all remember staying at Casa OsmaryAlberto as the very best part of our trip. We had the pink and the blue room. The colors are a lot of fun, and the rooms are cosy. The couple was extremely friendly and helpful, the food was truly fantastic, the house and the backyard was beautiful. This casa completely exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this casa to anyone who is going to Trinidad. Alberto helped us find taxis that took us to the beach and to the mountains nearby - really nice day trips! It's located right in the heart of Trinidad, only 2 minutes walk from the bus stop, and Alberto met us there and guided us to the casa. Perfect service, a perfect place to relax and unwind.

We wanted to experience some 'real Cuba' after big hotels and this gave us that opportunity whilst ensuring we felt safe and comfortable. The guest house is situated close to the centre of town down a typical street, but once inside you have a beautiful courtyard and the opportunity to relax and cool down in the shade.
We were made very welcome and the food for breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious.
I would highly recommend a stay here

Room Tip: We stayed in the 2 rooms on the ground floor at the back of the courtyard - which was lovely and qui...

My wife and I have visited Cuba several times and stayed in many houses, and Casa OsmaryAlberto is second to none. The moment you walk into the house, with the beautiful marble staircase, elegant but not crowded decor, an ample courtyard that is lush with plants and trees, you realize that you are in a very special place.

The rooms are excellent with pastel colors, the bed is very comfortable, the bathrooms have been refurbished and quite functional with good water pressure and hot water. Osmary is a delightful hostess and very knowledgeable. The entire staff was quite hospitable, and the breakfasts were quite tasty and plentiful.

Casa OsmaryAlberto deserves an excellent 5 Stars in all categories....to Osmary and her staff: a heartfelt:"Thank you" ...we will definitely be recommending this Casa to all our friends !!!!

Room Tip: We saw all the rooms in the house...and, honestly, there is no one bad room in the Casa. We spoke to...

We stayed at Osmari y Alberto's house in Trinidad on October 19 and 20 and were tempted to change our schedule around so we could extend our stay. The minute you walk into this house you feel like you're in a special place. The rooms are tastefully decorated, each in a unique color scheme; they are very spacious with comfortable bedding and fluffy towels in the bathrooms. The entire property is immaculately kept, the many green areas, patios and terraces offer multiple options to socialize or spend some quiet time by yourself. Breakfasts are very substantial and served in the patio where you feel like like you're in an outdoor piazza anywhere in Europe. Osmari is a most gracious hostess and most generous with her time. Her staff is very efficient and responsive to every need. If you're planning a visit to this most charmiing city, your experience will be greatly enhanced by staying at this casa. We have already scheduled our next stay for March 2014.

Alberto welcomed us to his and Osmary's delightful home with the rooms well spaced on two floors around a lush courtyard. There's space for the car too, although the steep angle from the road means that you need to take care not to bash the exhaust pipe on the way out. We had previously stayed in hotels during the trip but I'd definitely recommend sticking to a casa, particularly if they are as good as this. It was peaceful - the only accommodation (out of 4) where ear plugs were not required. The location was excellent, as was the food. We had the best meal of the trip here - fish dish (fish rolled around veg with a cheese sauce). The room was spotlessly clean and we felt as if we could come and go as we pleased. A very efficient but relaxed place to stay where we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights.

Room Tip: We only saw one room although fellow guests were also complimentary about their stay.
