“Beautiful lake and wonderful place to vacation.”
Reviewed 10 September 2013 via mobile

Stayed at the lake for third time. Always beautiful. Clear but cold water. Cruised one evening to quiet cove and watched a bald eagle fly overhead. Spectacular. Connected to several other lakes by Songo canal and working lock. Fantastic! Go there!

“BEACH IT!”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

We cruised into Sebago Lake via the Songo River and beached our pontoon on the sandbar! What a great day. You can walk for what seems like miles without reaching very deep water.

The sandbar was a perfect spot to unload the coolers and eat, drink, swim and be merry! In the marsh on the backside of the sandbar is some decent fishing. Proud to say...much to my 15 year olds surprise, I caught the biggest fish. Could not wait to unhook and release the ugly pike , which was about 12 inches long, back into the water where he came from!

It was a great day for young and old alike, as our age span was 1 through 81 !

A relaxing day with family and friends. Who could ask for more!?!

Our only complaint is that we hit something (maybe some hidden driftwood) in the channel...$100 bucks to fix the damaged prop stunk, but not enough to ruin the memories of a great day!

“Crowded experience”
Reviewed 28 July 2013 via mobile

True, the site at the Sebago Lake is awesome. Although trees are scattered throughout the campsite, they're so tall that they primarily provide shade against the sun and leaving the site all open at ground level. You get the experience that you are all
stacked and packed when the site is very busy. There are very little for the kids to do. Good that we stayed just one night.

“Crooked River Campground a Hidden Jewel”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

This campground is immaculate! It has large spacious sites , large clean showers and bathroom, a large pool, a lazy river with a beach that is perfect for small children to play in , can kayak for long distances . It is just .5miles from the State Park which is on the Lake. It is very inexpensive with cable , wifi, laundry facilities. It is under new owners who are doing a great job ! I went for a weekend and loved it so much I am going back for a week with my grandkids.

“State Park well maintained”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

The park opens at 9 am and the beaches (east and central both) are full by 10:30 so come early if you want some space. There is a snack bar, bathhouse and restrooms that are all well maintained and this state park, as all of them in Maine, are clean and well kept. Remember to be prepared to pack in and pack out, no garbage cans onsite. The swimming area is roped off and lifeguards are on duty on the weekend and holidays. With no wind, the swimming is very docile, and the water is crystal clear. As long as you don't mind lots of people really close to you, this state park is perfect for kids.
