“Excellent Design”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

The Woodlands Is a very interesting design with lots of scenic holes. Can't comment on previous reviews about the course always being wet -- we played there after four days of heavy rain, and everything (both on and off the course) was soaked. Conditioning is OK but not great; but then again, it's a muni. I look forward to playing it again during a trip to Baltimore when it is a bit drier.

“Great Layout. very wet”
Reviewed 8 October 2012

I had opportunity to play this past saturday as a last minute fill in. Great layout, greens in great shape but the fairways are wet , made for a couple of skulls trying to pick the ball off the wet grass. Quiet, no traffic or houses on course. Would go back but maybe a slightly later tee time to allow dew to dry.

“Demanding layout, nice design, course is wet all the time”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Play here frequently. Course is one of the better designs in the area and very demanding at times.

Real issue here is that the course is ALWAYS soft. Big portion of the course is in a low-lying area and does not drain well. Even a week to 10 days after a good rain you will be dealing with a few holes with very soft grouds..

And one more thing.. When you play here, it may help to learn Korean. Since you'll feel like you're playing golf in Korea while you're here. Not sure the attraction of this property over other area properties, but the Korean community seems to fill up the tee sheet on a daily basis at both courses here.

“During the heat wave plenty of grass and pleasant employees!”
Reviewed 30 July 2011

The greens were not cut and rolled but it is a heat wave! This course is meant for the business man. It has perils but often will kick your ball back into play. The cart girl made a lot of rounds so that you don't have to shrug your shoulders at the guests. She even went and got a specialty sandwich for one of the guys... and it's a public course! We payed $38.00 on a Friday at 3pm in 100+ heat and it was totally enjoyable and every employee we met was in a good mood. One issue was that a worker came up and thought it was us and didn't go and check what was in front of us... I had to tell him too do that and come back and yell at us... of course he kept talking in my swing... but he did come back and apologize! I'm ok with that because he might be a marshal one day and I'd rather have everyone on the course engaged in pushing people than nobody!
