“Hidden gem campground ”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 via mobile

Very clean campground and nice park rangers. Most campsites were spacious and separated by some trees.
The restrooms were cleaned daily and even had a shower available. The only issue we had was they let a very large group of 175 people camp at the group area the weekend we were there. That was too many people for the group area which is very close to the campground. After the large group left it was very peaceful there.
The landscape is very interesting and they have a few trails to hike to get a good look at the area. Nice place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.

“No sure worth the Detour”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

Millars Point was a well justified view point for 30 mins where you could have a scramble around the edges of the State Park. But the entry fee to the Park itself combined with the 100 miles detour just didn't seem worth it.

“Good For Half A Day”
Reviewed 2 July 2013

The main attraction here is the 'caves', which fingers of rock pointing to the sky, at such a distance apart that you can walk between them feeling yourself to be in a small canyon. You can play hide and seek between them, but eventually you can go no further into them.
There is a nice trail from the canyon floor to an overlook, called Miller Point: it climbs up, but the going is not difficult. Near this overlook is an educational trail showing the plants of the area and what they were used for.
There is camping on the valley floor and a long loop trail, but I saw no point in following it, as the views of the canyon would not change significantly as one progressed.

“"Pretty" Small Park”
Reviewed 19 June 2013

This park is a 175 mile drive up highway 93 just past Caliente Nv. The park has a nice visitor center and a very friendly staff. The park itself has a very limited driving area and only goes to the actual Cliff's, which are the Cathedral Gorge. They are beautiful but are very limited in there access and walking areas. Nice RV camping area and nice picnic areas. Lots and lots of ATV or bike trails and if you are really fit, a 4 mile circular walking trail. Some interesting old sites and restroom facilites that have been there a very long time...
