Thoroughly enjoyed this attraction. To see how the Hinkley Family carved out of the wilderness a place, and civilized their surroundings is well worth the hour or so you'll spend touring the fort.

I have been driving past Cove Fort for many years without taking the time to visit the site, I now regret that I hadn't visited sooner. Although the Fort itself might be considered a bit on the small side it hosts a wealth of history within it's walls. We really enjoyed the gardens behind the fort, I have never seen such amazing growth. The best part of the visit was the tour guides. The guides are missionaries for the mormon church - that might be off-putting to some people but they were very considerate of our feelings and personal beliefs and they were not 'pushy' with their religion at all. The site was very well kept, the grass was great to stretch our legs on, and the bathrooms were cleaner than any rest-stop or gas station I have ever seen. All in all a great visit, we will visit again.

Our family made a day-trip from Salt Lake City to Cove Fort and back and we were not disappointed. It was a great way to spend a day. Cove Fort was fun and informative. We enjoyed learning about the early settlers of Utah. The guides where friendly and the facilities were clean.

Had a very great tour of the Old Cove Fort and came away with some interesting stories and knowledge. The fort has been restored and furnished with numerous original and reproduction items. Our tour guide was very informative and answered our questions readily. We learned some very interesting facts about early traveling and life in southern Utah. If you are traveling along I-70 or I-15 near Beaver, Utah, you should stop by for the tour. It was worth every minute we spent there and we will stop again, should we be traveling that way.

Cove fort is about a mile away from the highway. It was a nice break from the long drive from Idaho to Vegas. The bathrooms were clean and the people were very friendly. We took the tour of the fort and really enjoyed the pioneer history. We would highly recommend this stop for families.
