We approached the Mokee Dugway from the south, totally unknown to us until we got there. Our AAA road map did not indicate that the road up the Dugway was washboard gravel, with the occasional paved switchback turn. What a ride ! The views are outstanding, and the gravel forces a leisurely pace, unless you're driving an allroad or an X5. This is a 3-mile uphill climb, with Alpine-style switchbacks every few hundred yards or so. However, it is the best link between Monument Valley and Natural Bridges, and a treat for the eyes all the way.
