Exciting Newseum, can spend days going through and working virtual displays.
Easy to get to via Metro, lunch spot on site and elevators to help with walking.
So much to see that cannot begin to start. Tim Russert's office is fabulous, a
truly missed man. You will learn things that were not known and get a great
Capitol view.

A must see. If you think that you know everything about great news, you're wrong. The museum has much more.

“Great for News junkies”
Reviewed 6 December 2013

A fun place if you are one of the millions of news junkies out there. A great deal of history and revolving exhibits covering a wide variety of news oriented topics,

Great locations and perhaps the best close up view of the Capitol in the city from the top floor.

One caveat tickets can be pricey ($20).

“Best Museum”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

This is an extremely well laid out comprehensive modern mueseum with great variety in type and format of exhibits. We intentionally allocated two days to explore all of the areas, although in the event we could happily have spent even more time as there was so much of interest to see (and try eg live broadcast which was then available on Utube.
Even the food was good for an establishment of this type which means to don't need to leave for a meal outside.
I found the Newseum highly interesting and engaging and would rate it the best museum type building I've ever visited.

“This Might be my Favorite Museum...of all Time”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

The Newseum is a paradise for any history buff, aspiring journalist, or museum junkie. Six floors of super varied exhibits. When you buy your ticket it's good for two days and you will probaby need it!

The staff are very helpful at explaining the orientation of the museum, which is a bit unusual. The space is bright and wide, instead of exhibits crammed right on top of one another. There's something to peak everyone's interest. When I went I was lucky enough to see their JFK exhibits. As a big Kennedy buff, this was a pleasant surprise and also paramount in my decision to pay the ticket price. Their 9/11 documentary and exhibit is also quite powerful. At both these exhibits they had Kleenex boxes, which is so smart.

It's not all sad, however. There's exhibits on the civil rights movement (also temporary I believe), the Berlin Wall, American crime, etc.

I've been to loads of museums all over the world and never have I felt more like a museum was geared towards me. I'd love to come back again.
