“Fascinating & Fun”

This is like no other museum you'll ever visit. It combines history, technology, and pop culture. It was a great opportunity to educate my kids about US and world history in a way that was fun and engaging. Don't miss the exhibit on the history of the internet.

“Feed your inner nerd!”

The name of the place is what this place is about. From cave man drawings, hieroglyphics, first newspapers and the modern technology of reporting these days is shown at the Newseum. It was a really good experience, I think it's a two day place to go because there is so much info, to look at and read. Also, because your entry fee allows you to come back the next day. There's many floors to go through and on the top floor you have a spectacular view of the Capital building.

“News Junkie Nirvana”

Wow, I could spend all day (or maybe two) at this amazing museum. Front pages from around the world, front pages from amazing historic events, heart wrenching photos, stories of journalists and their sacrifices, many videos, examples of earlier journalism "technology"... and amusing things such as the Ron Burgundy exhibit, where the real life counterparts are funnier than Ron and gang.

Amazing architecture, well laid out, fantastic view of the Capitol building from the top floor outside balcony... go!

“Rubbish”

I love history and love reading the news but I didn't like it at all. $20 to enter bit steep.

99% of the news items were insanely right wing

“You must visit”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

This is a pretty new museum, and a fascinating one with history of transmission of news from ancient times through to the Internet. Amazingly moving to visit the 9 /11 gallery, the FBI exhibit was great, and we were luck enough to catch a great exhibition of Kennedy photos
