Very detailed and extensive. A number of different displays, from the Berlin wall to 1960s civil rights protests to Anchorman.

The Newseum is HUGE, plan on several hours or prioritize what you want to see. My favorite part was the Pulitzer Prize Photograph gallery. The exhibits are very well done, I think visitors of all ages would enjoy them. At times I found it difficult to navigate, but the extreme crowds might have contributed to that.

a good break from the other museums however this costs $20+ to get into. I thought it had interesting news stories and memorabilia. The 9 11 exhibit was very good and also the crime story section. they need to add a bit more content as you could tell that 1 floor was a gift shop with the "anchorman" movie stuff. We skipped that floor. Worth a visit to see something different and a place that is less crowed

You'll need about 4 hours here. Lots of interesting displays (dogs of the presidents, Berlin wall and tower, 9/11 exhibit, Pulitzer prize winning photos) as well as a few video presentations that are fun and allow you to sit down for awhile. Nice restaurant, too.

This museum should be on your list of sites to visit while in DC. However, after about an hour, I was ready to leave. I found it very self serving to the media. By that I mean that the media pats itself on the back for all the good work they did (covering civil rights struggle, moon landing, etc.). I guess a lot of that is true...it just got old floor after floor of hearing how great they are. I could have done with less self praising (its funded by the media not by the government) and more actual footage and artifacts. Plus, a half of floor dedicated to Ron Burgundy? A fake news anchorman? Really?????
