“Dissapointment!”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

The only saving grace of this tour is the fact that you are in the White House and that's impressive. Taken in through a side door, if you didn't know you were in the WH you wouldn't know you were in the WH. the tour is quick, essentially self guided and you get no or little feel for the stately grandeur that the official photogs seem to be able to make out of the smallish rooms. We were in and out in less time then it took to pass security (and we had express privilages via a Government contact. Carpets are pulled up and you get the impression that they let you in because they have to. If you REALLY want to see the WH, you have to know someone that works there - otherwise you get a dissapointing tease and little feel for the greatest address in America.

“Photo opportunity only”
Reviewed 2 December 2013 via mobile

You don't get to see much as you are quite far away behind railings, but a good photo op. Don't confuse the Treasury building for the White House (we did!!), which you pass on the way, is quite close and looks great!

“Photo Op.”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Visited here with a tour group, sort of an obligatory stop. My husband & I were surprised to see just how far the White House is actually set back from the fence our tour guide took us too... Then we realized later that our guide had taken us to the BACKYARD gate, not the front of the building. There was still a crowd, everyone trying to get their pic with the White House in the background. Security was very high with all the issues they've had lately. Nice to see the First Lady's kitchen garden, at least. And they had the Christmas tree up in The Ellipse already.

“Good for a photo”

You can slip your camera through the fence just enough to snap a good shot. Beyond that, there's not much more than looking to do here. They need to bring back tours of the West Wing.

“Good to visit”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

Worth seeing for what it is. Also interesting to see the protesters, some with valid points and some just complete nut jobs. Loads of security. Saw police stop a man erecting a small tripod that he was using to take a pic of himself and his girlfriend.
