Owner description: Though the Library of Congress doesn't own every book ever published, it sure has most of them, with 532 miles of shelves and 115 million items, with 7,000 added each working day.

“Nice place”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Nice museum with a lot of strange artifacts. Just make sure you go during the week to avoid the crowds. I might have learned a lot more if I did one of the free tours instead of walking around on my own.

“Favorite building in DC”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

I love the interior of this building, it is very unique and beautiful. The main area has beautifully detailed and colorful ceilings, with lots of intricate carvings representing many different things. It has rotating exhibits from their extensive collection, while we were there they had books from Jeffersons library. It was fascinating to see the actual books in his library and what he kept. They give tours of the building which are definitely worth taking (though we couldn't this time around). You can spend a decent amount of time there looking at the exhibits and taking a tour, or if you are in a hurry you can wonder around for a bit and admire the architecture.

“Beautiful Architecture”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

This building is gorgeous inside and out. I had no idea what to expect from the Library of Congress, but was greatly surprised by both the architecture and the exhibits set throughout. Especially loved the Graphic Arts display on the lower floor.
