Very moving..... a must see. The wall is beautiful and to see so many names, the things people bring to leave at the wall , the notes that are left for loved ones and friends.... its very emotional.

Thank HWgirl

A wonderful tribute to the men and women who served. The park rangers are full of knowdlege so dont be afraid to ask them questions. I love that people can do a rubbing of their loved ones names and that there is abook telling you were your loved ones name is located on the wall

When reading about this memorial you may develop a specific view of what it is like, but nothing can prepare you for actually seeing this. It is a very very long black wall with so many names of those who died in the Vietnam war, the list seems to go on forever. There were flowers and poems from family members placed against the wall. We were there after Independence Day and there were very long queues along the wall. The Vietnam Memorial is close to the Lincoln Memorial with cafes selling food, toilets, ice cream vendors. No fee is charged.

The "Wall" is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Washington. I stand there in awe every time I see it.

What an awesome emotional experience to visit this memorial. Seeing all those names and the people touching and taking pictures of their love ones inscriptions is a heart wrenching experience.
