There is something for everyone out of all the Smithsonian's. They are free and very worth the time.

“Worth a visit. ”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 via mobile

The Smithsonian Institution Building is great for a quick stop. There are a few interesting artifacts to look at, and it only takes a minute.

As an aside, it does have one of the better Smithsonian cafes.

“Behinds the scenes tour”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Booked the Sunday morning 'behind the scenes tour' and enjoyed it. Small group (only four people that Sunday morning) were taken to several places in the Smithsonian castle by a very knowledgeable docent. I think you need to be a member of the Smithsonian (which does not cost much and gives you discounts in the gift shops...and several other benefits including an interesting magazine).

“Air and Space near Dulles Airport”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

If you have the time to drive out to this exhibit it is well worth the time and money. Although the admission is free, parking is $15.00. This did surprise us, but it is worth it. We took one of the free 90 minute guided tours which I highly recommend. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and put his own interest on the tour. I asked if we took the tour a second time would we be shown the same things and told no only the space shuttle. Each guide tends to flavor their tour with their favorite parts of the exhibit.
The Museum must have over 100 various planes housedin it. With so much history before your eyes, time flies by. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.

“Left some to be desired”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

I was very interested in visiting "The Castle", while the building itself is beautiful, the inside had a cafe and very small exhibit, do not need to allot too much time to visit.
