“Very good collection, including good modern art section”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Great modern collection. Check in particular their half-a-dozen Modigliani's, and some very original Degas. Not as big as Chicago's Art Institute or the Metropolitan Museum, but definitely highly worth it.

Beautiful buildings housing so many art treasures makes the perfect day adventure. The food court had a excellent array of vegan friendly offerings. Of particular note..the docent/guards were friendly and helpful.

“The nation's national at it's best”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

I personally was never interested in any type of art regardless of how it surrounds our every day however this gallery kept me intrigued. I wanted to see more and of course for miles (or at least it felt like miles) the gallery had it. It almost felt like never ending traveling throughout the building of pieces that I've never heard of or seen and to imagine all of this was for free! It wasn't my first stop in my mind nor a stop at all, but now it's a stop that I do not regret.
