From the Lincoln memorial to the Washington one it's awe inspiring. Scene of lots if movies and newsreels, it was great to see it for real. A must see.

While I was in DC I enjoyed a daily job of the mall. So amazing and beautiful. It’s a great way to decide what museum you’ll visit today.
My husband and I took our 3 year old, 1year old, and 13 week old children to the national mall for the day. It was fun. My girls really enjoyed a ride in the the national carousel. They only take cash and it’s $3.50 each person. Including an adult holding onto their child. There’s benches around the carousel and a food shop with hot dogs, sandwiches, ice cream, and other snacks. We had lunch there and then ran around with our girls on the grass at the national mall. People were having a picnic and such. It was sweet. We stopped for ice cream right in-front of the Washington Monument. There’s tons food trucks just on the side of the road. The Washington Monument was a sight to see. After hanging out there, we continued on our walk to the Lincoln Memorial. Right before that, we enjoyed sitting at the WWII memorial fountain. We sat by the water and our girls loved seeing the few ducks that were swimming around. The Lincoln memorial is so grand. Our 3 year old walked up the stairs and I took our double stroller inside to the elevator. It was perfect. I was able to move about very easily with my triple stroller (forward seats not side by side). The Korean War memorial was beautiful as well. We really enjoyed the day there with our girls.
The National Mall is a wonderful balance of open space and home to a rich history and monuments to cherish
This area is a must see and also a way to get to all the historic monuments and Smithsonian buildings.
This whole area is just a really cool place to visit. Monuments are all easy to get to with lots of parking and the space is so clean. Easy to walk around and just a must do once in your lifetime.
