“Fascinating museum and great IMAX movie!”
Reviewed 3 December 2013

I went into the museum as an air/space NON-enthusiast, but came out really fascinated with air and space. It is an impressive museum with life-size original planes and rocket replicas. You could easily spend about 2.5hrs going through the whole museum.
There is a McDonalds and some food/drink stalls to take a break as well.

I highly recommend watching a 3D IMAX movie at the museum. There is a range of movies related to space/air. We watched the "Hubble 3D" and it was very educational, visually stunning and really 'out of this world'! It was really amazing. Make sure you take a look at the movie times ahead, especially if you are planning on watching it at the end of the day, as the museum closes at 530pm.

“Take the guided tour”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

One of the most child-friendly of the Smithsonian museums, there is a guided tour several times a day that will appeal to youngster and their parents, both. So much to see, you don't need to go to any of the movies. The museum is free (as are all of the Smithsonian museums) but you must pay for the movies.

“Lots to See!”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

With a number of informative exhibits, it was difficult to get to some due to the large crowds (Saturday on a holiday weekend). We loved the exhibit on the different Apollo missions as well as the Orville brothers. My husband loved the model Navy ship with the aircraft carriers. We would recommend going during the week to try and avoid the crowd.

“Lots to see”
Reviewed 2 December 2013 via mobile

Some great things to see so definitely worth half to one day. Free entry but you pay for the IMAX and some of the other exhibits. The only food is macdonalds, which was pretty yucky, and reduced my stars from five to four

“Awesome!...”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

This is an impressive museum. It's closer to the airport. Parking is easy. You can spend a day there. We loved it!.. If you are in the area don't miss this museum. The gift shop is amusing. They sell some of the food products produced for the astronauts...The whole museum is a wonderful experience both for adults and the children...
