We were in Washington for only three nights, but this studio was perfect for us. We loved the quiet neighborhood and the ease of access to the Capitol and mall area. Some very good restaurants were also within an easy walk. The studio itself was small, but fully appointed, immaculate and very comfortable. There is a Murphy bed, which, when pulled down, takes up the sitting area. We didn't find this a problem at all. The kitchen area and bathroom were newly re-done, and we found that eating breakfast in saved both time and money.
Finally, I cannot say enough about the property owner. Brian responding quickly - usually within minutes! - to all my inquiries. He was very helpful in orienting us to the neighborhood, helpful with parking and with questions about the apartment. This was by far the smoothest rental experience I have ever had. We would definitely rent with Capitol Stay again.
Capitol Hill Stays was amazing throughout the entire process of moving from Hawaii to Washington, DC. They answered all of our questions, helped us solve our parking challenge, and were very flexible with our move-out date. As an active duty member of the military, Capitol Hill Stays made our transition to the National Capitol Region a pleasure. The studio apartment at 406 East Capitol Street had every amenity required for a short term stay and a few extras like its own 'secret garden'. The neighborhood is safe and historic, just two blocks from the Capitol. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
