This is one of the strongest memorials I have ever seen - from the ghost like soldiers walking through a field to the etched black granite wall, it takes your breath away.

Visited on a nighttime tour. Didn't know much about it but was blown away. Definitely one of the more moving memorials we visited. We want to visit during the daytime when we return to appreciate the effect of the wall along side the statues. The soldier statues actually give you the feeling of marching along with them. Incredible. Not-to-be-missed.

Having served in the DMZ security zone in the mid 70's, it was chilling to see the memorial. The Z had not changed much in the 20 years or so since the war and you could tell it was a meatgrinder of epic proportions. The figures on patrol give a good representation of the first troops to participate in the "new face of warfare" that that conflict introduced us to. It is fitting that this memorial, the Vietnam memorial and the WWII are all in the same area. If you go to the Lincoln Memorial, take the short walk to see this.
