This place is almost always packed during the popular hours. There were more than a dozen people waiting outside on the sidewalk because the waiting area was overflowing. There were many people waiting at the bar, as the wait was an hour, on a Wednesday night. There were some "beautiful people" as well as some more typical people, but it is undoubtedly a trendy scene. The bartenders are quite good as are the drinks. There's a good beer selection as well. The menu is upscale comfort food. Chicken and waffles is a popular dish and done well. On the other hand, the chicken pot pie did not have a flaky crust (too soggy), random pieces of meat (not cubes), and was soupy rather than a thick gravy. The food was tender and juicy, so it wasn't bad, just not how I like it. The deserts (mine was apple pie) are wonderful. Service was very prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. But this place is very loud. Not the place for a quiet conversation.
