I recently took a Segs in the City tour of Washington DC. I had previously taken a tour in San Francisco with City Segway tours and had a wonderful time (our group ranged from 48yrs to 70yrs). When I found out we would have some free time in DC I looked up segway tours, there was a big difference in the comments with a noticeable number of accidents being commented on with the Segs in the City tours (now I know why!). We tried to get a tour with City Segway in DC but they were full so we went ahead and took a chance on the Segs in the City's tour. The Tour itself is fine. You see the capital, the White House and everything inbetween. What you don't get is adequet training and control. We had one member of our group who was new to Segway riding and we had reassured them about the training. I was so surprised when after showing him how to go forward and backward and a few minutes of zipping around we took off. (With City Segways we had seen a great video showing the way to use the segway, forward and back, learned all the turns, and also practiced stopping quickly since we would be using the same sidewalks as pedestrians.) We took off and soon several members of the group were zipping in and out of people with no comment from our guide, It was fine for them to endanger themselves but they were a danger to the rest of the group and to pedestrians. also City Segway has pouches to put your camera and water bottle in which Segs in the City didn't they just has a cardboard plaquard with their name on it. I would definetly reccommend using City Segway over Segs in the City
