This place is always packed, really not sure why because it's really not good. The food is greasy and not great, beer selection is weak and the gin and tonic's you better stay away from, they are watered down, even after sending the first one back. The two stars are for the staff that seems friendly and nice.

To begin, long wait, 40 minute wait offered, but not seated for two hours.

Loud atmosphere...not judging it, just be aware. Also, this was 9:00 on a Wednesday night.

Good energy in server, who came back promptly to ask for our order; however, drink order, although simple, took over 15 minutes...

At that point, we decided to go elsewhere. I talked to one of the servers before departing as I couldn't find ours.

The lady who was filling up the water glasses did a fantastic job...

I will give a 2 rather than a 1 as even though the service was abominable, the food might've been terrific.

Hank’s Oyster Bar is located conveniently on the Wharf in Washington, DC. Enjoy a relaxing vibe during lunch if you’ve got extra time. Service was slow, but the smoked salmon Rueben and creamy coleslaw were very tasty. Hank’s Hops wasn’t anything special, but yeah I get it, choose any tap beer and charge $10/glass because we’re on the wharf. Overpriced food (>$15/sandwich) and beer balances with the tranquil view on the waterfront.

Hank's new location at the District Wharf is a very good and fun place. It is noisy inside but the outside dining is very pleasant, especially being by the water. The lobster rolls is quite good as are the salads. The spicy cucumber salad is refreshing and the white anchovies on the caesar salad are very good. The small seafood plateau was plenty for two of us. In the plateau, the shrimps were excellent and the clams, mussels, oysters were all very good. All in all, it is a very nice presentation. Unfortunately, the night we visited they did not have soft shell crabs.
