Attended the national symphony. Was surprised by the young audience! The Center is a little run down but the performance was a pleasure!

We snow Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" there last year. The performance was excellent, the venue is superb. It's a very large facility and can be a bit daunting but it's definitely worth a visit.

When visiting, just know that there is a free shuttle service that makes it easy from anywhere in the city proper. The red carpet is impressive as it goes on for miles. Don't forget to ask one of the concierges about the history... they will impress you with their D.C. knowledge.

Thanks to the Kennedy Center we in Washington DC have access to world-class performances that otherwise we would have to travel to NYC to enjoy. Regardless of the negative comments it is very nice to have this magnificent facility here in DC.

We visited the beautiful Kennedy Center to see Michael Cavanaugh playing/singing Elton John and more. The Kennedy Center has numerous venues including the Great Hall and a small theater. There is a full service restaurant as well as a upscale cafeteria where you can get a quick, yet tasty meal. Beware, it's pricey. We loved the concert and the artist got the audience clapping and on their feet during the performance. Our seats were in the 1st tier in the first row on the side and our view of the stage was partially obscured. Fortunately there were empty seats in the rear part of that tier which gave us a full view, so we moved. It was better to be a bit further back, than to have a closer blocked view. You could also pay significantly more and get a seat on the main floor. We were on a budget. Next time we will know better.
