Good coffee and great place to relax and chat. They have some beautiful african art and artifacts on display as well. As far as the choices go it looks like a regular coffee places. However they use african coffee so that could be something worth trying. But also the place is nice calm and relaxin too.

Nice little spot with some good organic coffee offerings. Plenty of seating and workspace. Spent several hours here and wifi is also good.

Small chain of coffee shops that buy coffee directly from growers with inviting atmosphere. My cold spiced cider was OK.

Of all the coffee houses we have been to in DC, this is the best. the coffee is very flavorful and the speciality coffees prepared expertly to order. WIll go back again, and was disappointed that they were not open on SUnday.

The bottom line is when they make a good coffee, it's good. However I'd read that the service was patchy, and it is. The day I bought a coffee, the staff seemed a big young and inexperienced. My latte was barely warm. I discovered this half-way down the block, returned and asked for a hotter latte. They said no problem - but as they made the coffee, one barista told the other to make it "extra hot". I could hear that they were practically boiling the milk. Sure enough, my coffee was too hot. I asked them why they didn't use thermometers - the barista said something about the espressos being extra hot, which usually warmed up the milk. This is just bad logic and frankly, unprofessional service. The coffee was good enough once it cooled down -but Bourbon needs to bring the service to a higher level.
