The hotel itself is nice, but its right accross the road from a nasty looking hip hop club. The Police are outside from the early evening like clock work I am told, lights flashing, cops working the crowd etc, by the time it gets dark every hip hop punk and street walker descends on the street and hangs out wheater they are going to the club or not. I am a smoker so i was outside smoking several times in the evening and every single time i would go down out front a barrage of punks would try to solicit money or smokes and it got close to ugly once or twice as the little twerps did not want to take no for an answer. Couples returning to the hotel were constantly harassed too. On the Friday night before my Marine Corps marathon there was a running confrontation between the Police and the punks. The staff at the hotel although very nice, seemed oblivious to this being a problem. I would not want any of my family or friends to have to stay here. And since you cannot bring a CHL piece to DC I'll not either.

Dear Barredie,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. I am saddened to hear that you were harassed by people on the street constantly. The night club operates on Friday and Saturday evenings and sometimes Sundays and the police are always there for crowd control. We do our best to keep them away from the doorway and directly out front of the hotel but unfortunately we are limited in what we can do because it is public space. We do have a security person in the hotel every Friday and Saturday evening in the lobby area for our guests safety and security.

Thank you for staying with us and we truly hope to see you again in the future.

Decent price which was honestly my main motivation for booking. The beds are a joke. I don't know why anyone would say they are comfortable. There is a dial that makes it "softer" but it only seems to deflate the bed. The staff is friendly and I didn't hear a lot of noise from the club across the street like everyone else complains about. Overall the stay was decent but I would probably book something closer to the sites in DC if I were to go back.

The hotel staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were great. They were the friendliest group of people we've ever met. The room was very comfortable and clean. It's also conveniently located to the Metro red line, but not too close that you hear the rail.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and had a nice experience. The staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. I was greeted when I entered the hotel and was always made to feel welcome. The price was great and the hotel was conveniently located to many of our tourist destinations walking distance in DC.

Dear Taylor C,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write about your stay with us. I'm happy to hear that we made you feel welcomed each and every time you entered the building! We are very fortunate to be close to the metro which gets you to the attractions in less than 10 minutes and it sounds like you took advantage of that. Thanks again for staying with us!

We arrived in DC well after 9pm for a wedding. We booked this hotel in advance knowing we would only be there one night, but more so to have a great location when we awoke in the morning to hit the DC sights.

Upon check in we were treated very nicely. Sometimes it is risky to reserve a pack n play for a toddler, but we were plesently surprised that we got a pack n play that was actually something we felt good about having our son sleep in. All we did was order a pizza and hit the sack. But in DC, location is everything, and this property allowed us to be mobile first thing in the morning, while keeping our bags for pick-up later. We would certainly stay at this property again on a future trip to DC. Being so new, we did not have to worry about the kid, which is everything.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us back in April. I am glad to read that you felt warm and welcomed after arriving so late in the hotel as we pride ourselves on having a warm, welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The hotel is fairly new, about 2.5 years old and we strive very hard to keep it looking brand new! We sincerely hope you'll be able to return again soon.

I stayed two nights at Hilton Garden Inn. Very convenient location from Union Station. Friendly and comparative staff. Room clean, quiet and spacious for one person. Good quality stay. Slightly pricy considering the time of the year.

The Hilton Garden Inn is very conveniently located, just a few feet from Harris Teeter grocery store; for those quick trips to pick up a quick snack or hot meal. The hotel is also right around the corner from the NoMa (New York Avenue) Metro stop on the Red Line.
