“Good location & large rooms”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

A very nice urban hotel, very clean with a Clorox odor in the lobby, friendly and efficient valet and front desk. Especially impressed with valet staff. Good sized rooms with refrigerators. Two things are puzzling...why would a reading lamp with a flexible arm and mounted to the night-stand, come nowhere near the vicinity of a book if one was sitting in bed and trying to read? Second, the breakfast buffet is quite comprehensive and $15.95 per person but it is not possible to order one fried egg...unless you want to fork out $15.95, which would make it an egg to rival a Fabergé in value! Does seem a little silly...not everyone wants to eat a full buffet breakfast no matter how tempting the offerings.

Placed next to electrical closet and it was very noisy, I spoke to staff but they did not move the room. On the up side, the food was great and the service in the watershed dining area was excellent!! But the bad room and slight odor in the bathroom made this stay a dud.

Stayed here for a local breakfast meeting. Hotel is easy to find. The Red line metro is right behind the hotel if you do not have a car. Internet is not free. Parking is also not free ($15/night) for guests.

This hotel is about 4 blocks from the White House and has two metro stations within a 6 block walk. The restaurant associated with the hotel has good food and is, surprisingly, reasonably priced! Each afternoon, there are oatmeal/white chocolate bars for a quick "pick-me-up." The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the location convenient. I would stay there again!

Room Tip: The location is not one that has noisy traffic, so a lower floor probably would work. I stayed on t...

It was a good hotel. I had booked 2 rooms they saw to it that I was given adjoining rooms even though I dint ask for one. I had arrived before the check in time and requested an early check in and they gave it to me as soon as possible. The hospitality was impeccable. Definitely would recommend it. The stay was worthwhile. The cost of staying could have been a bit less but that wasn't an issue once I saw the rooms and the service.

Friendly staff...patiently helpful. Comfortable beds in a quiet location (almost can forget you are in the city) and only a block from the NOMA Metro station (Red Line). Area is up and coming and safe. The Watershed has a wonderful lunch buffet. TV sets a little small but otherwise a great clean room. Very nice stay.

Room Tip: Stay on Garden courtyard side to minimize noise.

The check in experience was quick and paperless. The room was spotless and comfortable. I had dinner and lunch in the hotel restaurant; A braised salmon for dinner and a seared tuna for lunch. Each was succulent. The restaurant staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant.
