It was very late on my arrival into DC, just off the I-50 I pulled in and my 1st thoughts were of looks like a flea pit, but once I did check in the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nothing flash a bit dated but still I had a good nights rest
The neighbourhood is mainly fast food no restaurants which serve good food, just burgers, KFC or Dunkin Donuts.
The reception staff was accommodating and very pleasant. I would stay here again not what I am use to but hey you would not know till you tried them.

Room Tip: Just off the I-50 so there is a bit of traffic noise try and get a ground level room otherwise you h...

Myself and the new wife had booked into this hotel for 4 nights while we were staying in Washington DC for our honeymoon. We arrived by taxi late at night. The staff at the time were friendly. We got up into the room, after dragging our bags up 2 flights of stairs. The room was plain. It is an old style motel where the rooms face out into the open. TV is from the 90's. My neighbours were loud and did not go to sleep until around 1:00am. Kids screaming their heads off and the walls are paper thin. If you want to sleep here forget about it. The motel is located on a main road and they share the driveway with a service station. Looking out from the balcony all I could see was local youths and seedy looking characters hanging about the place. At around 3:00am, I started getting prank phone calls on the room phone. Then the alarm clock goes off at 5:30am. But I was not sleeping anyway, from the guys screaming their heads off down stairs and playing loud music from their cars, the fuel truck reversing in beeping and the bed bugs that left me scratching all night. Come 7:00am the kids decided to run up and down balcony outside my room. We decided to head into town. I asked the girl at the desk if she could call us a taxi, and I just got a rude look in return and told to wait outside. We waited for about 45mins, nothing came. While waiting a male prostitute walked up and started hanging around outside the rooms. I thought he was going to break into a room. Then someone opened a door and let this character in. The shuttle guy said he was happy to take me to Union Station. We decided to get out of Dodge and get another hotel. We checked out, the staff did not seemed surprised we was leaving, though they were happy as I had pre-paid the 4 nights. Do not stay at this place. It is no where near the city if you want to go site seeing, there is no public transport, it is clearly a dangerous area, especially for a tourist. If you must stay in this area for some strange reason, stay at the Marrot across the road.
