“Lovely”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Happy they had parking. Arrived early for the tour and had breakfast. Best breakfast of our trip and it was under $10 for 2 people. Disappointed that we were told we would have to take the tour with 30 kids ... No thanks. Decided to walk around on our own. The church is beautiful. There are some lovely chapels and displays. The gift shop is large.

“Nice & Solemn”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

It wasn't on our list, but I'm glad my mom insisted we stop by this church. It was lovely. Lots of people but a solemn place.

Beautiful church! Be sure to check out the crypt level below and the various rooms for prayer. There's also a gift shop and cafeteria.

“A Great Catholic Education”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

This place is impressive. I was starving so I started my tour with a trip to their cafeteria downstairs. It is large, well organized and the food was very good. They have two gift shops fully stocked with everything from rosaries to crucifixes to jewelries and souvenirs. The church itself was huge. It will take all day if you stop to read all the shrines dedicated to numerous countries around the world. Pick up the map if you want to see specific countries. The details in the architecture are ornate and very well done. Amazing! Well worth the visit. This shrine can be seen from most of DC but it is not well known. I only knew about it because my boyfriend is Catholic.
