I booked this over Priceline and I'm always skeptical when i do it that way because you don't know what hotel you are going to get but i'm sure glad I ended up with this one. Location wise great right in the heart of everything pretty much. Metro(s) are close. I had an excellent room and that's thanks to the front desk lady ( Nicole) My friend had previously stayed at this property and told me to specifically ask for a specific type of room. I really had no idea of what i was talking about but somehow Nicole did (ha) but very nice room in corner with many windows. This will always be my first pick for a hotel in DC!!!!!

Stayed here for 2 nites in July while in town for the Mets game. Good location to all DC attractions (walk to Smithsonian, 3 stops on train to Nationals Park). Room is decent, a little small, but overall a good value for the price. If looking for luxury, you will be disappointed. I would recommend and stay here again

The hotel staff were quite helpful even when most of our party were stuck with a car emergency. They were very pleasant to the others waiting. The hotel is two blocks from the Verizon Center near the Spy Museum. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. We had a room on the top floor which was quiet and spacious. The bedding was very comfortable. The staff's pleasant attitude helped to put our group at ease and have a wonderful weekend in spite of the rough start.

Room Tip: Stay on floor 10 - very quiet

It was quite expensive--200 bucks a night for a Sun and Mon night. The room was very tiny, and the bathroom had a musty smell that housekeeping didnt do that great of a job getting rid of.The staff is very friendly--always a smile and a hello or goodbye! It was just OK in my book.Would I stay there again? onl if I had to be in DC and there were no other options!

This hotel was the best affordable option for our stay on July 4th while all the DC central hotels were either over-priced nor booked. We did not regret to pick up this one. Across the street from the Spy museum, American Art Museum and the Metro, walking distance to the Smithsonian museums, to DC mall for the Firework, to the Capital for July 4th Concert. We were assigned a very huge room with perfect view. As soon as we got into the room, immediately followed by a call from the check in staff for the status. While the DC restaurants are quite expensive (even the street booth hot dog is $6), the Subway next door and McDonald near by provided another benefits for this hotel. Swimming pool and Whirlpool are small but useful after walking all over the city.

This hotel is right in the thick of it all. It is right by the International Spy Museum and National Portrait Gallery. Also close to Ford's Theatre and Verizon Center. We walked from Union Station and it wasn't a bad walk. The staff was very friendly, the room was comfy, quiet and clean. We had a great view too. Breakfast was delicious and hot. Overall a great place to stay, would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for 2 nights during Spring break. Our favorite hotel in DC doesn't have the best location and since we take the train and leave the car at home we decided to try something more centrally located- and it made a huge difference. The staff was so friendly, the entire hotel and room were clean, and the view of the city nice. The pool was good, and the location is just great. Really, it would be hard to ask for more from a hotel.

Set in a historic bank building, this beautifully renovated hotel is a pleasure to experience. Across the street from the Spy Museum (which is more of a money-making attraction similar to Ripley's than a museum but the kids loved it) and near everything DC; Chinatown, the super clean metro (don't call it a subway!), many eateries... speaking of eateries Gordon Biersch right in the hotel is an excellent choice for dinner. Starbucks downstairs that serves up hot food. Sort of expensive but portions were huge and this is DC prices. No neighboring room noise to speak of, and the beds were superb. The pool was crowded in the early evening with kids, but that included my kids so not really complaining.

*TIP- The Concierge can hold your luggage on your last day after checkout (late checkout at noon!) until 5 pm. this gave us time to explore an entire day until we caught our train home.

*TIP - No safe in the room, but they can hold valuables at the desk, so don't bring your diamond necklace.

Room Tip: City views everywhere!
