When we inquired about a roll-away bed during check-in, we were upgraded to a suite with a pull-out couch. The breakfast was amazing and the bellhops were friendly and efficient. They have a fitness center and pool with a hot-tub, which were all clean. The location was also convenient.

Better than expected for a Courtyard Marriott -- Stayed for 1 night for business meetings nearby.

Room was fairly large and the bed was moderately comfortable. Decor was modern and not offensive or too dated. Bathroom was mostly clean and serviceable but felt dated for a new-ish hotel. Location was great -- short walk to Metro Center and Verizon Center area, and right next to a Shake Shack. Used to be a bad area but its pretty nice these days.

Gym was small but clean and useable and there was a (small) pool also to boot. There is a cute breakfast area (mostly free) in the basement which was nicely decorated and functional. Room service from Gordon Biersch next door was also ok.

Wifi was free, and service was better than I thought it would be.

Recommended, but not at the $300/night I had to pay mid week in October.

During our 6-night stay the sky was overcast with rain everyday and the government shutdown had closed most museums. But this hotel is only a few steps away from the fascinating Spy Museum and only a few blocks from the equally fascinating Newseum.

Get the breakfast package with your room. We had six hot, delicious breakfasts in the basement bistro that had egg plates to order and a variety of meats and griddle items.

What we liked most about the hotel was the friendly staff. Everyone we met was cordial, helpful, and professional. I was impressed by Mona who checked us in and gave us a good description of the hotel amenities such as the breakfast and evening meal service in the bistro. People working at this hotel seem to genuinely ltake pride in their jobs and hotel. We will return.

Room Tip: Our comfortable room on the 4th floor faced F Street but the windows are probably double-paned and w...

Spent two nights at the hotel in wierd shape room facing a large air shaft. Bathroom fixtures felt very cheap. alarm clock did not function and appeared to be an original digital display model. The hotel is located in a former bank building (riggs) and echoed the sterilty of such an institution. Location wise excellent for conventions or Wizards' games and a block from the metro (this is one of two lines that go to National Airport so very convenient). It is kitty corner from the National Portrait Gallery. Not a 3+ hotel as categorized by Priceline.

Room Tip: There are rooms on a large air shaft so you might want to ask for a window facing the street.

Stayed here Columbus Day Weekend with niece Metro stop a block away. Spy Museum, Crime Museum, Verizon Center, Navy Memorial, Ford's Theatre and National Portrait Gallery all easily accessible from here. White House is six blocks away and there is a Big Bus Tour stop behind hotel.
Service was great, especially Chantal who was always asking for "the birthday girl" every time she saw us.
Yes it costs a bit but it is worth it. only downside was spotty wif. Definitely coming back.

So close to the White House we found it by mistake. Great location, close to all the sites. Rooms are very big and clean. Pool is a bit on the small side, but at least it had a pool, and the hot tub was a big plus. Linked restaurant to the hotel was a great place to eat and drink!

This hotel offers just about anything one could want for lodging in a big city that is clean, comfortable, convenient, and pleasant, all for a surprisingly reasonable price. The location could hardly be better, two blocks from the Metro, Verizon Center, National Portrait Gallery, and Chinatown. Rooms are clean and well furnished, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, many convenient electrical outlets, heavy bathroom and hallway doors (for soundproofing). Particularly worth noting is that the staff are unusually well trained -- polite, helpful, and cheerful. Last but not least, the room prices are very reasonable! One could pay twice as much for accommodations no better and often worse.
